In a past entry we highlighted how it’s important for AshBer to sponsor industry events across the US because it allows for us to be educated, connect with industry professionals and to educate our peers on our niche within the elder law community. Recently we attended both the New Jersey National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) UnProgram and the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) Elder Law Retreat and wanted to quickly share our thoughts.
We feel the NJ NAELA events, particularly the UnProgram sessions, were overwhelmingly positive. The UnProgram is highly regarded for its unique, participant-driven format which features open discussions and collaborative learning among elder law practitioners.
Attendees appreciate being in the drivers seat when it comes to conference topics and discussions along with the opportunity to engage in small group sessions where they can brainstorm, network, and share practical strategies without the constraints of a formal agenda.
What we appreciated about the NJSBA Elder Law Retreat was hearing from Judges and leading elder law practitioners. They bring real-world case insights, current trends, and challenges to the forefront of the two-day experience.
These events reaffirm why we continue to show up as active participants in the elder law community. The conversations and connections made help us better serve attorneys and their clients with the complexities of Medicaid planning. We're grateful for the opportunity to engage, learn, and contribute, and we look forward to the 2025 NAELA Annual Conference in May!
Missed connection? Join our upcoming webinar Practical Tips for Medicaid Crisis Planning on April 23, at 11AM CST, to learn more about who we are and how we can assist you and your clients.
